A typical system for domestic hot water (known as solar water heater) consists of:
- Solar panels (i) flat black paint ii) selective flat paint iii) vacuum tubes.)
- Storage tank of hot water ( i) Glass, ii) Inox, iii) Copper.)
The solar water heaters with selective collectors and vacuum tube collectors absorb the maximum solar radiation, over 92% because of the highly heat-absorptive surface of low-reflectance, even with 50% cloud cover, giving up to 30 - 40°C warm water.
If a hot water supply system is in forced circulation, the storage container of domestic hot water can be installed in the boiler room while on the roof will be only solar collectors. The circulation will be forced through a circulator, which will be controlled by a differential thermostat comparing anytime the water temperature in the storage tank and in the solar collectors.
